My paintings reveal themselves - they are not pre-planned.
The texture, addition of earth and inscribing, form a visual landscape in which the final images are born. In this way I can be sure they are a synthesis of ‘place’ and ‘being’ and relevant to an emotional landscape we all inhabit.
Mystery is as important to the artist as to the viewer; re-occurring themes and images form part of the mental process about which visual art attempts to communicate.

El misterio es tan importante para el artista; como para el espectador y los temas e imágenes que ocurren, forman parte de un proceso mental sobre el cual el arte visual procura comunicarse.
